997 Carrera S
I have known Phil for the best part of 20 years, initially meeting through a motorsport sponsorship deal when he was campaigning a Porsche 964 in the Carrera Cup championship, a relationship that has continued right up to the recent entry of the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3’s in the British GT Championship.
Phil is always meticulous in the preparation of his race cars and Tech 9 Motorsport Ltd is run in exactly the same manner. Tech 9’s knowledge of all things Porsche easily surpasses that found at the OPC’s, this from personal experience of both. I have entrusted the team at Tech 9 with my 996 C4S and with my current 997 S, a Porsche that with their guidance and knowledge has been transformed into what I consider to be the most complete balance of fast road and competent track 911 with looks to kill.
Whenever I’ve visited Tech 9, I’ve always been greeted with enthusiasm, and have often met other likeminded owners, some with very rare and valuable Porsche models, and the fact that these “special Porsches” have been entrusted to the team at Tech 9 is something that gives immediate confidence.

TECHART Magnum and 997 Turbo
I have been a Porsche enthusiast for several years having owned a series of 911’s – starting with a 993 Carrera 2 and gradually working through the range to my current 997 Turbo.
My one complaint with the Porsche range has always been the lack of individuality and the lack of interest in the main dealers when it comes to producing a unique car with increased power output.
Lets also be clear – I’m not a footballer and I’ve never won the lottery, I’m just an interested enthusiast with some money to spend!
The first car that I had modified was a 996 Turbo – this had a power hike fitted by Tech 9 which boosted the performance. The increased levels of torque were immediately noticeable and the nature of the car at higher speeds was also significantly improved. Following the power upgrade I had additional spoiler kit fitted, new brakes and calipers and lowered the car by 20mm.
The second car that was given the Tech 9 treatment was a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. Power was increased by use of a modified exhaust system and racing catalysts. The car was then given a full Magnum conversion including a lowered suspension, widened wheel arches and modified bonnet with air intakes – interior was changed to include red stitched steering wheel, seatbelts and dials with magnum red mats finishing the project.
I am currently working on a 997 Turbo having had new exhaust system fitted plus a power increase system, body work has been changed to include side skirts, front and rear spoilers and full carbon interior package.
The team at Tech 9 have my full confidence – they provide the highest levels of service and the product is second to none. I would recommend Phil at Tech 9 to anyone who loves their cars as he has the same enthusiasm as any petrol head – this enthusiasm is carried through all of his team and they are all a pleasure to work with.
Give the Tech 9 experience a try – you wont look back – apart from maybe checking for those blue flashing lights!

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know of my experience while having a service and water pump change carried out on my 944 turbo (F203JNX) last week.
I was very impressed. There is obviously a high level of knowledge and professionalism within your team. Particularly could you please pass on my thanks to Chris who completed the work to a very high standard. Even though he had a few difficulties with the job I felt like he enjoyed and cared about what he was doing.
